BLANK was created in 2007 by a bunch of students in order to fill the cultural void at the University of Kassel with a periodically published literary magazine. Over the years BLANK, has evolved from a merry stomping ground for literary experimentation into an ambitious, though still playful, platform. With a circulation of 500 copies, BLANK comes to life through critical and artistic student participation . As of now, and thanks to its persistant core members, BLANK is the longest running English literature magazine at a German university.
In July 2015, BLANK has been awarded an one-off patronage by the Barbara & Alfred Röver-Stiftung for the enduring effort in support of the literary arts at the University of Kassel.
Everyone at BLANK is looking forward to continue that saga of success!
